The curriculum of "Introduction to Finance" (general course "Finance") is designed for all majors of the D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, without the specialty "Finance". It aims to give the basic guidelines of financial thinking to future specialists - economists and administrators. The programme is oriented towards acquiring information and knowledge for economists in fields other than finance. Money, tax, budget, credit and investment are examined from the perspective of the main economic agents. The course has characteristics for teaching in the fundamental block of subjects studied by the majors at the the D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics. It is the basis for the development of specialized competences in all other areas of economic and managerial knowledge. The provision of the course by means of a textbook and a compendium, written by lecturers in the Department of Finance and Credit, ensures the applicability of a wide range of extra-curricular forms of student employment. The semester case study on "Financial Management and Analysis of the Firm" included in the course provides the necessary practical application of the theoretical matter in the field of corporate finance, investment and credit.
